I'm Back !!!!!
Ok, well, doubt you missed me, but after my net exile, forced upon me whilst I moved house and waited for the fuckwits at BT and Orange to sort out my DSL connection, I am back.
The house move went pretty well, and even better is that I now have a room almost 3 times the size of my last to put my studio in ! Here are a few pictures of Version 1.0. It's all connected and working but might possibly get "tweaked" over the coming weeks :o)

The biggest bonus is the ability to have my Yamaha DTXpress kit set up and connected and also the cleaner desk space, but I'm not sure about the position of the keyboard stands. Also, certain cables need to be extended.
The bad news is that during the move, my internal HD on the Akai S6000 decided to start playing up. I think I've isolated it to the IDE2SCSI converter board as the drive is fine and I pulled it out and connected it to the PC to backup. I tried another drive and that isn't seen by the S6000 either. Not a major problem as I don't need internal storage on the S6000 whilst it is studio based (ak.sys will do the job perfectly), but in the event I go back out gigging again, it will be essential. I have also lost the four screws that hold the DTXpress brain in place on the stand as I put them somewhere "safe" when I dismantled it and racked the brain. My Boston monitors also started playing up, but other than that, it was a pretty safe move.
Anyway, now that we are pretty much settled, I hope to resume normal service a.s.a.p :o)
Big thanks to Matrixsynth, Gamma Goblin, Music Thing & Shepitology for giving me my blog fixes at work whilst I was "away" :o) Check their blogs out by clicking on the links to the right ---------->>>
