New Beatles Promo Video
In case you're unaware, there is a new Beatles album out, called Love. This album was born out of the Cirque De Soleil show in Las Vegas, where they approached The Beatles to gain access to their songs and in doing so instigated a restructing process where George & Giles Martin reworked (or to use today's parlance, "mashed up") Beatles tunes to create a new interpretation of some classic songs.
The result is now available on CD & 5.1 surround DVD for all to share. I listened to the entire album on a webcast a few weeks back and was blown away at the work done by Mr Martin & Son.
In a film about the creation of this album, Olivia Harrison said the first tune they heard that convinced them about the validity of the project was a mash up of Within You Without You from Sgt Pepper and Tomorrow Never Knows from Revolver. Now Apple Corps have released a promo for this track. Enjoy it below, then go out and by this quite remarkable album. I have it under the Xmas tree already (thanks to my eldest son, David !) and can't wait to get it on the DVD player on Xmas day !
