At last, a proper Roland soft synth

Via MatrixSynth
Arturia announces Jupiter 8V, the software recreation of Roland’s famous Jupiter 8 which was in production from 1981 to 1984. The Jupiter 8 was a synth that not only inspired a generation of musicians ranging from Prince to Howard Jones, from Depeche Mode to Moby, it was also a unique machine that offered a sharp and crystalline sound while being uniquely phat.
The Jupiter-8V is the latest born in the Arturia family of analog synthesizer recreations. Offering the unique sound palette of the Roland Jupiter 8 with a bass that can bring down the house.
Based on the latest version of TAE®, the Jupiter 8 V also brings to you an advanced step sequencer, a new line of dynamic effects and a module combining LFO’s called Galaxy. All in one, the Jupiter 8 V comes with a perfect blend of classicism and modernity.

Curse their dongle protection. I'd buy this otherwise. But I hate dongles.

Cheers for the headsup on another torrent to download. Nah only joking, im not thankful :D
Why do you hate dongles? Dongles are easy to crack if you hate them that much!

LMAO !
The M1 part of Legacy Digital was updated last year (V1.5 I think) and all the sounds from the Korg T series of workstations (M series successors) were included.
"I hear" there isn't a cracked version available !
I too know someone who has a "version" of Legacy running and it is rather good. I'm often tempted to buy it :o)

Im confused though. Did they stop selling the version that came with the glorified fake Korg midi interface keyboard thing?
It's like this, the only way Korg are going to get money from me is if they tell me real good things about the new R3 and set it at a "realistic" price.

There are two types of Korg Legacy Edition;
Analog - MS20, Polysix, Legacy Cell (a combination of MS20 and Polysix) and now Mono/Poly
Digital - M1 & T Series sounds & Wavestation
I think the dinky controller was stopped a while back.
Either way, these are some of the best soft synths out there.
As for the R3, you can rest assured it will not be cheap and I'd ratehr base my decision on what it sounded like, not what a Korg rep on commission told me ;o)
