Delta Lab Studios

I received an email last week from Thomas Troelsen in Denmark. He asked if I would like to mention his studio on my site. I normally get similar requests from other organisations and serial spammers, but this is most definitely neither ! :o)
Thomas owns a studio in Copenhagen, Denmark, called Delta Lab. I'll let Thomas explain more....
Delta Lab Recording Studios are the world’s first designer recording studios and the premiere studios for artists seeking both a singular, creative experience and comfortable, professional environs for their recording, production, and mixing needs.
Located in downtown Copenhagen, Denmark, the studios boast the largest collection of analog and vintage equipment in Scandinavia. The studios also offer the latest, modern recording facilities and equipment, and are well suited to fulfill all the needs of its artistic clients including recording, production, mixing, editing, and songwriting.
The studios were originally opened in 2001 by Thomas Troelsen at the age of 19, but were recently rebuilt and refurbished in 2007 with a new, stylistic aesthetic, including 7.5 meter (24.6 feet) ceilings with broad panel skylights.
The cozy, inspiring atmosphere of the Delta Lab Recording Studios, combined with a professional and experienced, in-house team, ensures an enjoyable and productive experience for all our clients.
Now the impressive bit. Check these pictures out !!

The gear list is enourmous and the client list prestigious, including Beck, Bloc Party & Marc Almond, to name but a few.
This is an incredibly unique venue and worth checking out !!

Simon Cowell is a Dog !
Found this in the Fairlight Yahoo group, posted by Chris Strellis !
The story is supposed to go like this....
There is also an MP3 link here....

The dog sample is that of Candy, a dog who's bark was one of the first digitally sampled sounds ever :)
The story is supposed to go like this....
In the early '80s, an artist by the name of Harry Thumann in Germany produced a song that sampled dogs barking called "Ruff Mix". Then E&S Music partner, Simon Cowell, aquired rights to the song and began promoting it under the artist "Wonderdog". Simon actually dressed up as Wonderdog and appeared on many British television shows to promote the song.

The best news in 5 years (Musically, that is !)

5 years after his last visit to London at the Hammersmith Apollo in October 2002 (And what a great gig that was), Prince returns to London to perform 21 nights in August. Tickets go on sale this Friday priced at £31.21 (neat, huh !)
These will be his only European gigs this year and he will be playing at the vast O2 Arena (formerly the Millenium Dome) and also doing some smaller events too. The O2 Arena gigs will be in the round and there is already talk of Amy Winehouse supporting/performing with him :o)
For more info, visit Prince's website at http://www.3121.com
UPDATE: I have my tickets for August 17th ;o) I'm hoping that I'll get to see him again and it just so happens that I'm working in London all of August ! ;o)
