I Don't Know Why I Love You

Keeping the Stevie Wonder theme going for a bit now, here's a great clip of him singing his 1968 classic, "I Don't Know Why I Love You" from the album, "For Once In My Life".

Is it me, or does Stevie always look lost without his keys ? This film was shot a few years before he entered what many say is his classic period between '71 & '76. Either way, no-one gives it up like Stevie does. He means every note, every syllable, every nuance.

And here is the BEF cover version from 1992 featuring Scritti Politti's Green Gartside.

Released on the BEF album, "Music Of Quality & Distinction Volume 2", this was one of three tracks that Green recorded for the project, the other two, also covers, being The Beatles' "She's A Woman" feat. Shabba Ranks...

& Gladys Knights' "Take Me In Your Arms (And Love Me) feat. Sweetie Irie...

Stevie & Green; Two of my all time favourite artists, performing one of the worlds finest soul songs.
